		Dr John King Dr John King has more than 30 years experience of the pharmaceutical sector, having joined Galen Pharmaceutical in 1979, following an academic career in Queens University, Belfast. As Chief Executive, he led the company’s listing on the London Stock Exchange in 1997, and as Executive Chairman in the United States on the Nasdaq National Market in 2000. Following the acquisition of Warner Chilcott Inc in 2000, he directed his attention to the transition of Galen into a United States Speciality Pharmaceutical Company focused on the women’s health care and dermatology therapeutic areas. This culminated in the rebranding of the company to Warner Chilcott plc in 2004. He resigned as Chairman of Warner Chilcott plc following its acquisition by a private equity consortium in 2005 and continues to act for the company as a non-executive director. John holds B.Sc., Ph.D. and honorary D.Sc. from the Queens University of Belfast and is a member of both the Pharmaceutical society of Northern Ireland and Ireland.
